People I Met
Here's
some of the great memories of the 1960's of interesting showbiz
people I met and some I booked to appear in Montreal area.
Fabian - Johnny Thunder (Loop De Loop) - Johnny C (Boogaloo Down Broadway).
Back
in 1965 toured with a Dick Clark rock n roll show as emcee and road
manager. While learning I spent a week with Herman's Hermits, The
Rolling Stones and Freddy Cannon. 48 years later Freddy came to town
with The Crystals and The Shirelles. I got a chance to have him
sign an old original tour program.
I've
met Chubby Checker several times over the years - in 1961 at the
Montreal forum - in the old days at the Esquire Showbar in
Montreal and recently at the old renovated Rialto Theatre on Park
Avenue in Montreal. He's still twisting the night away at 71 years old.
